September 2019 Monthly Reading

For the September monthly reading, the first card, from the Archangel Oracle, is Archangel Jophiel with “Clear Your Space.” Personally, I’ve struggled to purge material things this year, but I’m finally at the point where I’m ready to let go of items that have served their purpose, belong in my past, and may be useful for someone else presently or in the future. A while back, a friend loaned me “The Magic Art of Tidying Up” by Marie Kondo (there is also a Netflix show). The KonMari method of cleaning involves a methodical system of sorting through your items, by category, and for each item you are letting go, thanking it for its purpose and use in your life (even if you’ve never used it). When I’ve previously tried this method, I found it much easier to let go of things by looking at them from this point of view, and expressing gratitude out loud. This card’s guidance states, “Get rid of clutter, clear the energy around you, and use feng shui.” I like this tip in the accompanying book, “Anytime you’re involved with redecorating or spring cleaning, call upon Jophiel to help you. It’s like having your own spiritual interior decorator and feng shui consultant!” If you happen to try either of these methods out, let me know how it goes.

For numerology guidance, we have number 55, “Adventure.” The number five represents change, and fives in succession can sometimes represent tower moments - sudden or unexpected change. This isn’t necessarily negative and oftentimes even if it is initially difficult or negative (a break-up or a job loss for instance), it can actually be a blessing in disguise. “This card indicates a need to see your life as an adventure. No one knows what will happen tomorrow, so why not make the most of it today? By drawing this card, you’re being encouraged to step out of the rut of your everyday life to experience exciting new things. It doesn’t have to be anything dramatic.; just a couple of minor adjustments can add a little adventure and zing.”

If you go back to the Aug 31 IG post, you’ll also note that the final card, the nine of cups, first came out (again on Jan 1) and when I wrote about it then, in the reverse. And, I was strongly picking up on the energy of some kind of disappointment. Something you had hoped or wanted, that may not have worked out. As I’m writing this now however, I was compelled to turn this card in the upright. In the upright, the nine of cups represents  wish fulfillment. What is it that you want to do? Adventure can indicate travel or relocation, a new relationship or venture. Be open to new people, places and things that speak to your soul. Affirm: “I broaden my life experience, and therefore expand the growth of my soul.” I pulled additional cards for the collective as well as the elements/signs on the monthly videos.
